Cologne’s main train station - Köln Hauptbahnhof - serves more than 280,000 passengers per day. To enter and leave the station, trains pass over the six-railway wide Hohenzollern Bridge, which spans the Rhine River. Both are situated next to the renowned Cologne Cathedral (seen here below the station), whose construction commenced in 1248 but was not completed until 1880.
