The Jiaozhou Bay Bridge — connecting Qingdao and Huangdao, China — is the world’s longest bridge, spanning 41.58 kilometers (25.84 miles). The construction used 450,000 tons of steel and 2.3 million cubic meters of concrete. The bridge is T-shaped with an over-water, semi-directional interchange to allow for a third directional exit/entry from Hongdao Island.
