Tumblr’s Radar Effect:
Whoa. On July 4, 2015, Tumblr featured my Fourth of July GIF on the Dashboard Radar for about two hours. Tumblr also promoted the GIF among Staff Picks. It’s the first time that Tumblr showcased my work on the Dashboard, and I’m grateful to staff for the spotlight. Thanks to Tumblr Analytics from unionmetrics, I’m sharing some numbers behind the Radar Effect.
- The GIF post garnered 3,527 reblogs and 4,317 likes on July 4, 2015.
- Over 24 hours, I gained 290 followers — 170 of them within the first three hours of publishing the post. Welcome!
- That increase is seven times more than my average follower gains over the last 30 days.
- According to Tumblr’s Activity Page, several new followers gave notes to other posts, including 27 likes from one new follower.
- The reblog tree shows six degrees of reblogs. 968 reblogs came directly from the post. Most of these are probably from Tumblr Radar.
- 1,226 reblogs were from ruinedchildhood’s reblog. Thanks!
We never get tired of seeing how information spreads through Tumblr via reblog tree. Thanks for sharing, unwrapping!
