disneyland-was-only-two-years-only-in-1957-and

Disneyland was only two years only in 1957 and, separate from the film studio, the park didn’t yet have all the rights to use the mainstay of Disney characters. Walt had created a TV program for ABC called “Disneyland” specifically to fund, promote, and create new content for his park project. While he used his creative team from the studio to create park attractions, the studio wasn’t connected to the park beside carrying some merchandise, like “posters - sketches”.

I’d imagine Roy Disney let out a heavy, “sigh…” when he saw his brother’s complicated corporate web laid out. And this doesn’t even show that Walt had a shell company that owned the Mark Twain riverboat and the trains – RETLAW 1 and RETLAW-2 – with a $1 kickback for every passenger they carried.
