This painfully short video is the best look we’ve ever gotten at a planet orbiting a star outside our Solar System.
It was made from a series of images taken by the Gemini Planet Imager in Chile from November of 2013 to April of 2015, and shows just a fraction of the planet’s 22-year orbital period around its parent star.
It would take the New Horizons spacecraft a million years to reach it.
