Janet Delaney photographed the SF Tennis Club bar in 1980 as a sign of the changes coming to SOMA. 35 years later the tennis players are trying to stop the development of offices on the site.
“The Tennis Club is the latest manifestation of the fight for the livability of the city against high-tech developers who have City Hall by the throat,” says former mayor Art Agnos. I’m not so sure about that.
