When I replaced my iPhone a few months ago, I got curious about the wireless charging feature. Sure, I could have simply bought a Qi-compatible wireless charger off the shelf, but what fun is that?

Instead, I built my own with the electronics inside a LEGO casing. That gives me both a way to charge my iPhone and a baseplate I can continually redecorate.

It was only meant as a personal, but then friends and co-workers started asking how to get their own. So…

Introducing the Power Brick, a compact LEGO-built wireless charging pad with a 10x10 grid of studs on top. The Power Brick comes in two flavors,

  • Multicolor
Includes the colored tiles to make the design shown randomly assorted color and printed tiles.
  • Arcade Mosaic
Includes a standard set of 25 tiles in a single color making any of the designs shown here and more. Availble in several colors.

Each comes with a 5-foot Micro USB cable, 25 flat LEGO tiles to create your own design, and an L-shaped brick for prying the tiles apart.

Arcade Mosaic or the Multicolor option, available now for $32 + shipping.
