I feel like this is something that doesn’t get addressed often enough. Sure, we want to be on the X-Men’s side, because they’re the protagonists and all, but they’re totally wrong about the Mutant Registration Act.

The government needs to have some way to keep track of this ever-expanding group of people. It’s not a new concept that the government needs information on its citizens - that’s why the census exists. I would propose adding a single question to the Marvel Universe US Census: do you have a mutant ability?

The X-Men are supposedly all about getting respect and being recognized as deserving of rights. Well, in that case, they need to submit to the standard procedures for being classed as a separate demographic - ticking a box on a form, and letting the people in charge know what’s up.
