Sound of My Voice, 2011

I think that I’m developing a film-crush on Brit Marling. As with the excellent Another Earth, she co-wrote, co-produced and starred in this film. In comparison, it’s the lesser film of the two, though it explores similar themes of identity within the context of a temporal sci-fi narrative. It’s worth a watch, and both Brit Marling and Christopher Denham turn in good performances, though if you’re squeamish a certain worm-eating scene may sour the taste of your popcorn
