So you think Polaroid film is expensive? Think again! Simon Ward has used Kindle screens to display imagery at the Brighton Photo Fringe exhibition at the Phoenix gallery in Brighton. The work explores “the notion of the photograph as a trace”. In case you were unaware the screen in a Kindle and other book reads uses E-Ink screens, when power is turned off the image will remain on screen, clever stuff. I assume that when the screens are re-moved they were damaged and that’s where the distortion comes from.

The work is on display along with other artists work until the 1st of December the Phoenix Brighton. Get all the details form the PhotoFringe website.
