princetonarchives-princeton-university-stopped

princetonarchives:

Princeton University stopped cataloging books with its own special system (the Richardson Classification System) on February 6, 1976. Now, like most research libraries, we use the Library of Congress system. Here, Oscar Sein works at his desk in the Cataloguing division in Firestone Library, ca. 1970s.
