Rather than a title sequence, the series “The Good Wife” uses a couple of close-ups of the main character showing the effect of CMYK halftone printing - as if it were a partial look at part of a printed page (or poster). In the context of the show the focus is placed on a politician’s wife.
Since beginning in 2009 the series has barely mentioned the printed media, but has rarely gone an episode without mentioning online media. Like “static” visually evoking a loss of a digital signal, the visual language of printing is used only to evoke the metaphor of news.
