Not The Same
Earlier this year when BART took their new train model around the Bay Area it sparked some anger from sports fans that have too much time on their hands - or need to have their vision checked - because they felt the colors looked like the Seattle Seahawks team colors and went so far as to start a petition.
We call upon BART General Manager Grace Crunican (who oddly enough worked as Director of the Seattle Department of Transportation prior to joining BART) to scrap plans to adorn BART car seats in neon green and blue and instead choose other colors.
From about 35,000 surveys BART found 82% support for the selected colors. The survey findings (PDF) will be presented to the board before they make the final OK to move forward and start building our next generation fleet.
