Catbus Rapid Transit
San Francisco studied a number of transportation alternatives as part of the Geary Rapid transit project before settling on dedicated bus lanes.
Light-rail was prohibitively expensive and Catbus service posed a wide range of it’s own service challenges, from nap-based service delays to unexpected detours chasing after birds.
Hayao Miyazaki fans will instantly recognize the catbus being from the the film My Neighbor Totoro. Anyone else is missing out on a wonder animated family film.
